A reciprocal promotion community on phpFox

Helping independent creators gain visibility through their community
Independent writers and creators often struggle to gain visibility and publishing support. ScratchPoint is designed as a community where members help promote each other’s work.
- List a work
Creators list their work and define promotional tasks, such as reviews and social sharing.
- Complete tasks, earn points
Members join as Scratchers, complete tasks for others and earn points.
- Use points
Points can promote a member’s own work or access services within the platform.
- 01Connect two roles: creators seeking support and members willing to complete tasks.
- 02Link each work listing to tasks, offers, agreements, completion evidence and point movement.
- 03Support reputation with profiles and reviews, and points with balances, activity records and orders.
- 04Deliver it consistently across backend, frontend and mobile, phase by phase with client feedback.
Six connected areas of the platform
Administration and discovery
AdminCP settings for categories, Itch Sites, MediaBack genres and point Reward / BackLash, plus the landing page and BackBoard for browsing works and defining Itch Lists.
Collaboration workflows
Creators list MediaBacks with Itch tasks and Scratchers send Scratch Offers. An accepted offer becomes a Scratch Agreement, completed with Scratch Marks and two-way reviews.
Profiles and reputation
Profiles with ratings, reviews, About Me and Reach, plus overall, Owner and Scratcher ranks.
ScratchPost
One place to manage agreements, offers and marks, with activity views, extension requests and hide/unhide filters.
Points and rewards
Point credits and deficits, PayPal point packages and gifting, plus ScratchStore for points-only redemption with orders and notifications.
Interface improvements
Typography and color refinements, dark mode, mobile responsiveness and menu cleanup.
A connected member journey
- 1Creator lists a MediaBack and Itch tasks
The Owner publishes a work on BackBoard with an Itch List of promotional tasks.
- 2Scratcher submits an offer
A Scratcher sends a Scratch Offer for the tasks they are willing to complete.
- 3Owner accepts, an agreement is created
Acceptance by the Owner creates a Scratch Agreement between the two members.
- 4MediaBack assessment unlocks the agreement
The workflow includes a MediaBack assessment before the agreement is unlocked.
- 5Scratcher performs tasks and submits Scratch Marks
Scratch Marks are the proof of task completion, sent for the Owner’s approval.
- 6Owner approves evidence, agreement completed
Approval of the evidence completes the agreement; both members can then review each other.
Points move from the Owner’s balance into an agreement escrow and then to the Scratcher, linking agreed promotional work with point release. Two-way reviews support reputation, and members can use points to promote their own work, access platform services or redeem items in ScratchStore.

Milestone-based delivery in three phases
The initial kickoff describes a six-month plan organized around client milestones. The plan prioritized website development, with mobile developers reviewing the work to support the mobile timeline.
- Phase 1Foundations
Administrator settings, the landing page and BackBoard.
- Phase 2Collaboration
Detailed promotional collaboration workflows and member profiles.
- Phase 3Expansion
ScratchPost, rankings, points, ScratchStore and interface improvements.
A structured way to seek promotional support
The design gives independent creators a structured way to seek promotional support from a community. Offers and agreements define participation, Scratch Marks provide completion evidence, and point allocation supports the exchange. Ratings and reviews support reputation. The points model is intended to let members contribute to others’ promotion and later seek support for their own work.
These are intended product benefits.
